I’m Ken, and I own and operate KD Photography and Design. I started my company in 2018, but my passion for photography and film began long before that.

In the spring of 2015, I was diagnosed with a rare form of bile duct cancer. From that moment on, I knew every breath I took was a blessing. I started capturing life through small documentary and interview-style films, telling the stories of my family members who stood by me during my hospital stays and surgery. Those raw, emotional moments sparked something in me.

Not long after, I picked up a camera for more than just video. I discovered a deep love for photography, capturing beautiful moments in nature, at concerts, during graduations, and at milestone events. It wasn’t just about taking pictures. It was about honoring life as it happens.

Fast forward to May 2025: I was let go from my job, and instead of seeing it as a setback, I saw it as the perfect push to follow my passion for storytelling full-time.
